According to my mother, I have been drawing since I was a child, ever since I could hold a pencil.

I remember my first drawing on the theme of domination. One day, I really wanted to draw a woman crushing a man's head under her boots, whom she had just killed with her sword. I was drawing in my grandmother's kitchen while she was cooking, and I was a little afraid that she would find my drawing strange. Determined to draw a scene of female domination, but unfortunately without a dominatrix, for lack of a better option, she was replaced by my hero at the time, Zorro. I was a big fan of the series, which was being re-aired for the third time on French television in 1985, and I was nine years old. Yes, my first illustration of domination depicted the valiant masked horseman crushing the head of a soldier he had just killed under his boot.

I don't know why, one day, I started drawing women who brutalise, humiliate and trample on men (and women too). I didn't even know what to call these charismatic and violent goddesses, the ‘dominatrixes’, perched on their high-heeled boots, without understanding for a single second that I was awakening to fetishism.

The drawings shown here are among the very first ones I ever made. They are clumsy in their graphics and text. I find them rather amusing. I look at them fondly and think of that kid who didn't yet understand what he was about to experience.
I would love to relive that unique moment, like many others. These are intense, somewhat frightening and formative moments that propel a person into another world.
